As the son of John Lopez, he spent his childhood and young adulthood helping in the orchards, working harvest seasons, and learning from the crews who shaped the heartbeat of ranch life. His years working at Sunsweet gave him a deeper understanding of the scale, pressure, and people behind every crop.
Those early experiences taught him the value of hard work, community, and the responsibility that comes with caring for land and people.
After earning his master’s in computer science, Nick carried those lessons into the next chapter of his life — beginning a 25+ year career at IBM. There, he built and led enterprise technology solutions, developing systems known for reliability, clarity, and scale.
